Nashville, Tenn.-based Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt opened its fifth after-hours urgent care clinic in Murfreesboro, Tenn., according to a report in the Daily News Journal.
The new clinic will offer walk-in appointments from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekends, according to the report. The clinics are staffed by board-certified pediatricians and reports are sent to the child's regular physician on the same day, according to the report.
The clinics are prepared to treat fevers, sore throats, asthma, splinting and wounds, among other minor illnesses, according to the report.
