Valley Children's, Stanford partner to launch pediatric residency

Madera, Calif.-based Valley Children's Healthcare and Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine announced Wednesday a partnership to establish a pediatric residency and fellowship program.

The graduate medical education program for pediatric subspecialists will be based at Valley Children's Hospital, and residents from Valley Children's and Stanford will have the opportunity to complete rotations and learning opportunities at both the hospital and Stanford's Palo Alto, Calif., campus.

Residents and fellows will also have access to complete rotations at partner locations, which include Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, Fresno, Calif.-based Saint Agnes Medical Center, San Francisco-based Dignity Health and other local pediatric practices.

Valley Children's is a teaching site for nearly 200 residents and medical students in other programs.
