The University of Tennessee Health Science Center's College of Medicine in Knoxville appointed Robert Craft, MD, interim dean Oct. 7.
Dr. Craft also serves as senior vice president and chief academic officer of the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He joined the university in 1994 as an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology.
"I am delighted that Dr. Craft has accepted our offer to serve as interim dean of the Knoxville campus," said Scott Strome, MD, executive dean and vice chancellor for clinical affairs at the university's College of Medicine. "His exceptional leadership experience and commitment to both UTHSC and the medical center will advance both institutions as we serve our patients in Knoxville and the surrounding region and provide an outstanding environment for education and clinical practice."
