The Little Clinic, a Nashville, Tenn.-based chain of retail health clinics, inked a clinical collaboration deal with University of Toledo (Ohio) Physicians, according to a report from DrugStoreNews.com.
Under the agreement, The Little Clinic nurse practitioners can refer patients to UT Physicians. The Little Clinic operates four clinics in the Toledo area, according to the report.
"One of the foundational aspects of The Little Clinic mission is centered around increasing access to healthcare services close to where people live, work, shop or attend school," said Colleen Lindholz, president and CEO of The Little Clinic, according to the report. "Our collaboration goes a long way in making low-acuity healthcare services more conveniently and readily available for everyone in the community as well as helps to lower cost and improve patient outcomes."
