UCHealth and University of Colorado Medicine, both based in Aurora, Colo., are launching the UCHealth Integrated Network, an affiliation connecting Colorado-based providers.
Currently, more than 2,000 providers are partnering within UCHealth Integrated Network. These providers now have access to the UCHealth infrastructure, within which more than 1.2 million patients receive care every year. The network will participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program and manage attributed Medicare beneficiaries.
Jean Haynes, UCHealth's chief population health officer, notes that participating in the new value-based payment models and incentives payers are offering requires extensive coordination and knowledge.
"UCHealth Integrated Network does this work for our partners, giving providers the freedom to put their patients first and to focus on keeping a broad population of people as healthy as possible," said Ms. Hayes in a statement.
