Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health and Cincinnati-based Mercy Health are joining and investing $100 million in what they are calling the "network of networks," Advanced Health Select, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
The health systems say Advanced Health Select will be the state's largest clinically integrated network, according to the report. The network will aim to improve chronic care management, reduce costs and move providers to a value-based system.
Summa and Mercy's accountable care organizations, NewHealth Collaborative and Mercy Health Select, are first to join Advanced Health Select, linking more than 2,800 providers, according to the report.
The organizations plan to channel funds to build a new technology infrastructure and create new jobs, such as care managers, according to the report.
