Iowa Health System in Des Moines and the Quincy (Ill.) Medical Group have finalized an affiliation agreement that will also bring QMG on as part of IHS' accountable care organization.
The relationship is an effort to "enhance both organizations' capabilities to coordinate physician-driven, patient-centered healthcare and improve efficiencies," according to a news release.
Quincy Medical Group, a multispecialty group of more than 130 physicians and providers, joins IHS as an affiliate and member of the system's ACO. The affiliation allows QMG to collaborate with IHS' approximately 700 employed physicians.
Additionally, the affiliation permits the two parties to further expand their relationship in the future.
