To support improvement activities, Premier is launching an integrated software solution that tracks clinician performance and compares outcomes with peers and national benchmarks.
This clinician performance management solution combines quality and cost performance, helping providers track progress, particularly in regard to payment programs. The solution integrates acute and ambulatory data and includes modules for continuing education certification. It also offers physician leaders and health system leadership a better understanding of larger department- and systemwide trends and opportunities for improvement.
"Today providers are inundated with gathering outcomes metrics from acute and ambulatory clinicians for reporting required by multiple payment programs," Premier CIO Leigh Anderson said in a statement. "At the same time, they are challenged with that information being accessible holistically, limiting the ability to analyze total performance in an easy and timely manner."
The software is intended to meet that challenge, providing a full view of individual and network-level performance across quality and cost.
