Boston-based Partners Urgent Care, an affiliation between Partners HealthCare and MedSpring Urgent Care, announced Monday the opening of its first urgent care clinic in Brookline, Mass.
The new site, located at 1285 Beacon Street, will be open and staffed with physicians from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, including holidays. It will help treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries such as coughs, colds, cuts and broken bones.
Patients are welcome on a walk-in, same-day appointment basis and can use most commercial and public insurance plans. Patient co-payments are similar to those of routine office visits.
Additional locations are slated to open in Newton, Mass., and Watertown, Mass., by the end of the year. Partners plans to open up to a dozen urgent care clinics in the next three years.
