According to an article in the Statesman Journal, Portland (Ore.) State University and Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University Hospital opened a $300 million building Thursday that includes a 12-story tower and five-story section with lecture halls, labs and simulated hospital rooms.

The space will allow for training of 40 more physicians, 25 more pharmacists, 15 more dentists, and 10 more physician assistants per year.

Jenny Mladenovic, OHSU provost, told the Statesman Journal that physicians, nurses and specialists will learn and train together as they are expected to work together in a real-life setting.
