Hudson Heart Associates, a five-cardiologist practice in Suffern, N.Y., has been sold to New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, according to a Journal News report.
The cardiologists will remain at the Suffern office and also expect to continue treating patients at Good Samaritan Hospital, also in Suffern.
The cardiologists were strong supporters of Good Samaritan's $25 million cardiac surgery center, which opened in Jan. 2007. New York Presbyterian opposed the move, according to the report, saying the program was unnecessary, as Rockland county residents had access to heart care its hospitals in New York City.
