A new survey seeks to help accountable care organizations identify ways to improve efficiency and quality by assessing a patient's entire episode of care.
The survey is an effort to fill information gaps that have been identified by members of the American Medical Group Association ACO collaborative. Those gaps include measuring effective use of care team members, provider engagement and the patient's assessment of their own level of engagement, loyalty and compliance. South Bend, Ind.-based Press Ganey will administer the survey on behalf of the AMGA.

- Deliver population-based patient perspectives about cost and choice of care; and
- Highlight patient behaviors and perceptions that impact self-care decisions.
