Michigan's St. John's Providence Forms Co-Management Joint Venture With Neurologists

St. John Providence Health System in Warren, Mich., has entered into a 50-50 joint venture with a group of 21 neurologists and one endovascular neurosurgeon to co-manage non-surgical neurological services at the system's five acute-care hospitals, according a Crain's Detroit Business report.  

Specifically, St. John Providence Health System Medical Neurology Co-Management LLC will co-manage manage stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders and other non-surgical neurological services. Under the arrangement, physicians will receive hourly compensation for attending management and committee meetings and are eligible for incentives for meeting quality and efficiency benchmarks.
