The Franklin, Tenn.-based hospital chain IASIS Healthcare is collaborating with the Phoenix professional men's and women's basketball teams to open a first-of-its-kind multi-specialty clinic.
The $7.9 million project is designed to provide Phoenix residents and players from the the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury basketball teams with a one-stop-shop for healthcare services.
"With three hospitals, a behavioral health hospital, numerous physician practices and a managed care organization in Arizona, this clinic is a significant addition to our operations here," Carl Whitmer, CEO of IASIS Healthcare, said in a statement. "It fills a void, bringing vital healthcare services to those who live, work and attend school in downtown Phoenix."
The new clinic, located at the former Phoenix Suns Athletic Club, will offer cardiology, dermatology, primary care, women's care, dentistry, podiatry, ophthalmology, chiropractic, sports behavioral medicine, orthopedics and physical therapy services. It will also offer diagnostic imaging services, including MRI, CT and digital X-ray services.
