Pittsburgh-based Highmark, an insurer, has formed an affiliation with Premier Medical Associates — the largest multi-specialty physician group in the Pittsburgh area — according to a Highmark news release.
Premier consists of 60 physicians in multiple specialties, including immunology, cardiology, family practice, gastroenterology, general and breast surgery, internal medicine, neurology, pediatrics and radiology, among others.
The physician group is also one of only 11 practices in Pennsylvania to be selected as a pilot for the national medical home model.
