Officials from the Federal Trade Commission, HHS Office of Inspector General and CMS will address antitrust, physician self-referral, anti-kickback and civil monetary penalty issues for accountable care organizations in a free day-long workshop in Baltimore on Oct. 5, according to a release by the FTC.
The agencies will publish a notice in the Federal Register notice "shortly" giving more detail on the topics to be covered and information about how to register for the workshop.
The agencies are asking participants to send in comments for the workshop discussions no later than Sept. 27, 2010.
