Dallas "Uber Doctor" launches app for house calls

Dallas physician Jonathan Clarke, MD, is bringing the house call into the 21st century.

He recently launched an app called "Mend," which allows users to request his services via smartphone, similar to Uber, but for healthcare, according to CBS DFW. Dr. Clarke and his team work out of his van from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and can treat most common illnesses and injuries and perform some lab tests for the flu, strep or pregnancy.

Dr. Clark charges $200 to $250 for house calls. He does not accept insurance now, but does accept Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Accounts.
