Livingston, N.J.-based Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center appointed Joseph Koziol, MD, chair of neurosurgery, the system said Jan. 3.
Dr. Koziol has been an attending physician at the center for almost 30 years.
"Over the past several years, the Neurosurgery Department has grown in the complexity and volume of cases with 60 neurosurgeons on staff," Richard Davis, president and CEO of the center, said in a news release. "Dr. Koziol’s deep understanding of the department, coupled with his vision and expertise will continue the department’s growth and enhance the delivery of advanced neurological care for adults and children in our community."
