Cleveland's University Hospital is discussing physician employment with 13 practices representing 64 physicians, according to an Augusta Chronicle report.
Their employment could increase University Hospital's revenue by $55 million. CFO Dave Belkoski said the hospital's revenue last year was close to $450 million.
The physicians would work at University Health Care Physicians, a new nonprofit the hospital is planning. University Hospital approved an organizing resolution and officers for the nonprofit on Tuesday at its quarterly meeting.
