Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, St. Mary Medical Center announce partnership

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has partnered with Langhorne, Pa.-based St. Mary Medical Center to improve neonatal and pediatric emergency care for families in the area, according to Bucks Local News.

As part of the agreement, CHOP neonatologists and pediatricians will provide around-the-clock physician coverage for the St. Mary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Bristol-Myers Squibb Emergency Care Center. Patients requiring more intensive treatment will have access to CHOP's main hospital.

"This agreement with CHOP, one of the most prestigious specialized hospitals and the first hospital in the nation devoted exclusively to the care of children, enables St. Mary to elevate and expand services while providing the highest quality care to those patients who entrust their lives to us each and every day," said St. Mary President and CEO Greg Wozniak.
