The Association of Staff Physician Recruiters changed its name to the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment this month.
Four things to know:
1. AAPPR Board President Frank Gallagher announced the name change during the organization's annual conference in Orlando, Fla., which took place April 6-10.
2. The group selected its new name after a yearlong process that included input from hundreds of members. The name is meant to better reflect members' changing roles in the healthcare industry.
3. As part of the rebranding, AAPPR will unveil new services, resources and partnerships for organization members.
4. The organization will also restructure its regional and affiliate organizations to improve national alignment.
