Denver-based APEX Emergency Services has definitively agreed to join Canton, Ohio-based US Acute Care Solutions as a founding partner in its physician-owned emergency medicine and hospitalist service organization.
"APEX is an outstanding group of clinicians who value physician ownership and management as the key to compassionate and efficient patient care," Dominic Bagnoli MD, CEO of USACS, said in a press release. "With significant market penetration in Denver, both our hospital partners and community members will be better served."
USACS was founded by emergency medicine physician groups in Colorado, Florida, Maryland and Ohio. This partnership expands USACS' Colorado presence to reach roughly 250,000 patients.
Under the agreement, APEX physicians remain partners in their original group, but also become shareholders of USACS. The partnership agreement is expected to close in the second quarter.
