Aetna has launched a patient-centered medical home program in New York.
In-network primary care providers who are recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a PCMH and who were not participating in other quality incentive programs with Aetna were considered for the program. The program includes more than 200 physician practices and is growing, according to the news release.
Providers in the program will receive a quarterly "coordination of care" payment for each commercial Aetna member they care for.
