The American Academy of Family Physicians recognized the top 11 U.S. medical schools with the highest number of graduates pursuing family medicine residencies post-medical school.
The 2015 results are based on family medicine matriculation rates for students who graduated in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

- Kansas City-based University of Kansas ─ 19.7 percent
- Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota ─ 18.8 percent
- Greenville, N.C.-based EastCarolinaUniversity ─ 18.5 percent
- Seattle-based University of Washington ─ 17.6 percent
- Portland-based Oregon Health and ScienceUniversity ─ 16.9 percent
- Tallahassee-based FloridaStateUniversity ─ 16.2 percent
- University of Missouri - Columbia ─ 16 percent
- Madison-based University of Wisconsin ─ 15.9 percent
