Gulfport, Miss.-based Garden Park Medical Center has announced it will close the doors of eight of its 10 clinics as soon as May 15 as part of its "long-term strategy for sustainability," according to the Sun Herald.
"This is part of a long-term strategy for sustainability and to remain viable in the community," the hospital's media liaison Angela Juzang told the Sun Herald. "As you know, many local healthcare facilities, and facilities across the country, are making aggressive changes to keep up with the changing landscape of the health-care industry."
Patients will have access to their medical records and physician referrals, according to the report.
