Community Medicine Associates, the physician practice of San Antonio, Texas-based University Health System, rebranded Monday as University Medicine Associates.
The 200-physician nonprofit group chose to change its name to better reflect its relationship with the health system and reduce confusion among patients, according to an emailed statement. The rebrand comes just in time for University Health System's recently launched "Thinking Beyond," campaign, which aims to inform the community about the value of the academic medical center.
University Medicine Associates is one of two physician groups serving the University Health System. The other is UT Medicine, which is affiliated with San Antonio-based University of Texas Health Science Center.
