2 New York hospitals to expand primary care services

Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Memorial Medical Center and Batavia, N.Y.-based United Memorial Medical Center are both waiting for approval from the state Department of Health to open new offsite primary care practices, according to Buffalo Business First.

Niagara Falls Memorial plans to renovate a clinic to include three exam rooms and handle 2,100 patients annually, as part of plan to migrate services from the inpatient to outpatient setting, according to the report.

United Memorial plans to acquire an existing private practice and invest $850,000 to expand the facility to include six exam rooms, according to the report.
