10 Markets with Highest Physician Saturation

This analysis, provided by Health Market Science and Pitney Bowes Software, was based on an evaluation of 940 U.S. markets. The top 10 most competitive were classified as either small- or medium-sized markets, with many existing in college towns that have large teaching hospitals.

Small markets have less than 175,000 people, whereas medium markets have up to 1 million. Ratios are based on the physicians per 100,000 residents.
