Nurses at HCA's Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., have joined nurses at other HCA hospitals in the state in picketing over staffing levels, according to a St. Petersburg Times report.
The nurses, members of National Nurses Organizing Committee-Florida, turned to picketing after management rejected a proposal by the nurses to create a nurse-led task force to address staffing levels, according to the report.
Nurses at HCA's Largo (Fla.) Medical Center and Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Fla., have also picketed over the same issue in the last two months.
