Experts advised taking a good look at organizational culture to determine if there's a fit before joining the team. WSJ offered executives a few tips on what to look for when evaluating culture:
- Try to discern unspoken norms by looking at how leaders treat those around them, particularly if there appear to be different rules for different roles.
- Ask recruiters about reasons for turnover at the organization.
- Attend a company meeting if possible.
- Ask rank-and-file employees for their opinion of the company.
