What are the happiest countries in the world?

March 20 was the International Day of Happiness, which the United Nations has celebrated since 2013. Happiness is a vital part of humanity, but where are the happiest places on earth to live?

The World Happiness Report looked into it. The report, which has been published annually since 2012, recently came out with a 2016 update detailing the happiness level of 156 countries. The countries are evaluated based on a variety of factors, including social support, perceptions of corruption, freedom to make life choices, healthy life expectancy and GDP per capita.

Here are the 25 happiest and least happy countries in the world, according to the World Happiness Report.
