University of Kansas Medical Center Lays Off 80

University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City has eliminated approximately 80 administrative staff positions after conducting an efficiency analysis, according to a Kansas City Star report.

The cuts did not involve employees at the University of Kansas Hospital or teaching staff, according to the report, but "administrative positions at the schools."

KU Medical Center now employees roughly 3,820 people.
