Taylor Weyeneth will step down at the end of the month from his position as liaison to the Office of National Drug Control Policy following controversy surrounding his limited work experience, according to The Hill.
Here are three things to know.
1. Mr. Weyeneth graduated from New York City-based St. John's University in May 2016, and was 24 years old when he was appointed to the post.
2. He was appointed to his position in the drug office last summer after multiple senior officials stepped down.
3. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Weyeneth served as a paid member of President Donald Trump's campaign, then as a volunteer for President Trump's transition team.
