Technical workers at the Hackley campus of Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, Mich., have voted to leave the Service Employees International Union and join the National Union of Healthcare Workers by a vote of 65 to 9, with two votes for "no union."
The technical workers cited SEIU's "corruption and indifference" in its overwhelming decision to switch unions.
The election covered approximately 100 hospital employees, including radiology technologists, respiratory therapists, surgical technologists, ultrasound technologists and vascular technologists.
