Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey Lays Off 23 Employees

Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, N.J., laid off 23 employees last week, according to a New Jersey Press Media report.

Officials from the 355-bed hospital said the layoffs resulted from a decline in patient volumes as a result of the economic downtown, according to the report.

Somerset maintains 2,400 employees, according to the report.
