Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) declared Monday that he has a "plan to fix healthcare," according to The Hill.
In his op-ed in Politico, published late Monday night, Sen. Rubio largely reiterated points from his op-ed in Fox News in March.
If elected president, Sen. Rubio promised to reform insurance regulations and transition Medicare to a premium-supported model. He also discussed his support for refundable, advanceable tax credits, which he said "all Americans can use to purchase health insurance."
"The value of these credits should increase every year, and we should set the tax preference for employer-sponsored insurance on a glide path to ensure that it will equal the level of the credits within a decade," he wrote in Politico.
Sen. Rubio hopes to be among the few Republican candidates with detailed healthcare agendas.
