Members of the Service Employees International Union are planning to picket Medina (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital today, according to a Rochester Business Journal report.
Contract negotiations between SEIU United Healthcare Workers East and hospital management broke down this past weekend following lengthy meetings on whether the system would continue paying for worker training and continued education, continue contributing to employees' 401(k) accounts and restore cuts to workers' health benefits.
The union represents 325 employees within Orleans Community Health, the hospital's parent company that is also based in Medina.
