Savoy Magazine recognized Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hospital System Chief Human Resources Officer Jim Dunn, PhD, as one of its 2018 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America.
Dr. Dunn, who is also an executive vice president at Parkland, earned the honor for his "proaction within the company and commitment to the community," according to a letter from Savoy. The honor aims to recognize diverse executive that have made a positive impact in corporate America.
Dr. Dunn's prior experience in the healthcare industry includes serving as the executive HR and learning executive for Cleveland Clinic and chief learning officer for Texas Health Resources in Arlington.
Currently, Dr. Dunn's role at Parkland involves oversight of 12,000 employees as well as talent operations system wide. He currently serves on faculty at the University of Texas at Dallas, Southern Methodist University in Dallas and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. He is also a fellow and part of the executive teaching faculty of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
