Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, part of Baptist Health System, opened for business on June 27, according to a news release by the hospital.
The new hospital features all private rooms, flat screen TVs, a meditation garden and space for family overnight stays and is the first hospital in San Antonio to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Certification. Environmentally friendly features include the use of recycled building materials, highly efficient lighting and water systems, a recycling program and six electric car plug ins.
Mission Trail Baptist offers a full range of healthcare services including cardiac, labor and delivery, emergency, intensive care, surgical, dialysis, orthopedics, vascular, urological and men's health services.
The hospital campus also features the Mission Trail Physicians Plaza Medical Office Building.
