The Georgia Hospital Association has elected Ninfa Saunders, president and CEO of Macon, Ga.-based Navicent Health, to serve on its board of trustees, according to The Telegraph.
Ms. Saunders will develop strategies for the GHA's hospital members and advocate for high-quality patient care and adequate reimbursements for hospitals, according to the report.
Since 2012, Ms. Saunders has been president and CEO of Navicent Health, a nonprofit health system with 830 beds across all of its medical facilities.
The Georgia Hospital Association serves more than 170 hospitals in Georgia.
