Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the healthcare organization's political arm, is hosting a women's health forum June 22 in Columbia, S.C., for Democratic presidential candidates, according to The New York Times.
Sixteen candidates have committed to the event. It will be held alongside the Democratic Party convention, which takes place the same weekend in Columbia. The event comes after several Republican-led states have passed restrictive abortion laws.
All Democrats running for president in 2020 support abortion, according to The New York Times. The event will give those candidates the opportunity to discuss their plans to support abortion access, according to a press release from Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
