Oroville Hospital to Lay Off 50

Oroville (Calif.) Hospital is reducing its staffing by 3.5 percent, meaning about 50 employees will be let go, according to an Oroville Mercury-Register report.

The reduction does not just involve layoffs: some positions will be combined, and some full-time employees will become part-time or per diem workers, according to the report.

The staffing changes are expected to make the 153-bed hospital more efficient.
