The Oklahoma Hospital Association has picked a new board chairman and elected new board members, according to a Wagoner Tribune report.
Here are nine things to know about the new chairman and board members.
1. The OHA installed the new board chairman and elected the new board members during its annual business meeting Nov. 4.
2. Jimmy Leopard, CEO of Wagoner (Okla.) Community Hospital, was installed as 2016-17 chairman of the OHA board of trustees.
3. David Whitaker, president and CEO of Norman (Okla.) Regional Health System, was elected chairman-elect of the OHA board. He will serve as the OHA's board chairman in 2018-19.
4. Tammy Powell, president of Oklahoma City-based St. Anthony Hospital, was elected as an at-large member on the OHA board for a three-year term.
5. Steve Hyde, CEO of Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Okla., was re-elected as an at-large member on the OHA board for a three-year term.
6. Mark Johnson, MD, Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, is serving as the physician member of the OHA board.
7. Others continuing to serve on the OHA board of trustees in 2016 are:
- Shelly Dunham, CEO of Okeene (Okla.) Municipal Hospital, OHA northwest region chairwoman
- Darin Farrell, CEO of Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur, Okla., OHA southeast region chairman
- Chris Hammes, vice president and COO of INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City, OHA Oklahoma City region chairman
- Corey Lively, CEO of Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City, Okla., OHA southwest region chairman
- Jeff Nowlin, president and COO of St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., OHA Tulsa region chairman
- Doug Weaver, president of AllianceHealth Pryor in Pryor Creek, Okla., OHA northeast region chairman
8. Continuing to serve as at-large members on the OHA board are:
- Jim Berry, executive vice president and administrator, Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah, Okla.
- David Keith, president and CEO of McAlester (Okla.) Regional Health Center
- Judy Goforth Parker, secretary of health at Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada, Okla.
- Stan Tatum, CEO of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, Okla.
9. Also serving on the OHA board of trustees as American Hospital Association delegates are:
