Nurses OK 10-Day Strike Notice at Northside Medical Center in Ohio

Nurses at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, have authorized the union negotiating team to give a 10-day strike notice, according to a Youngstown News report.

The nurses are displeased with what they consider to be a lack of progress in contract talks with ValleyCare Health System of Ohio, NMC's parent. The main issues are staffing levels and wages, according to the report.

Youngstown General Duty Nurses Association represents about 400 registered nurses at NMC, and their contract is set to expire next week.
