Nurses congregated outside Largo (Fla.) Medical Center to protest what they called inadequate staffing that is leading to some "patient safety concerns," according to a St. Petersburg Times report.
The nurses are asking that the hospital, owned by Hospital Corporation of America, create a task force of bedside nurses to work out any patient care issues, but organizers said hospital management has turned down their request, according to the report.
LMC officials said the protest would not affect the hospital's operations.
