North Carolina's High Point Regional Health Seeks $56M Expansion

High Point (N.C.) Regional Health System is seeking approval from the state's Division of Health Services Regulation for a $56 million expansion, according to a report by Sun News.

The expansion proposal would add three new stories, including five new operating rooms and several new patient rooms. If the proposal is approved, construction could be underway as early as next year with anticipated completion in 2014.

Jim Miller, president of High Point Regional, said the expansion is necessary considering current growth and changes in healthcare, according to the news report.
