Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha is planning to lay off 38 employees by the end of the year and not fill 100 positions that are currently open, according to an Omaha World-Herald report.
One vice president and three other director positions are slated for elimination, according to the report. Hospital officials said no nursing positions will be eliminated.
The hospital currently has about 5,200 employees.
