Nashville Health Care Council opens application for 2018 Fellows class

The Nashville Health Care Council is now accepting applications for its 2018 Fellows class, which brings healthcare executives from across the nation together to explore business strategies and brainstorm solutions to the industry's most pressing problems.

Applications close October 27, and fellows will be announced in early December.

Founded in 2013, the fellowship is co-directed by former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, MD, R-Tenn., and Larry Van Horn, PhD, MPH, MBA, executive director of health affairs at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.

Each year, 30 fellows are selected to participate in eight days of discussions on innovations in healthcare.

"There is no other initiative like this in the country," Dr. Frist said. "The Fellows program breaks down the walls between healthcare's many silos and brings leaders from diverse focus areas to the table to collaborate and work together toward a smarter healthcare system."
