Montana healthcare panel urges Senate not to pass BCRA

A panel of some of Montana's biggest healthcare organizations held a town hall meeting Thursday to voice their displeasure with the Senate's proposed Better Care Reconciliation Act, according to Montana Public Radio.

The groups represented include the Montana Hospital Association, the Montana Nurses Association, Planned Parenthood of Montana and Benefis Health System, the state's second largest hospital system.

"We went from horrid with the House healthcare bill to horrid-er with Senate bill. Maybe we'll start back in the other direction now after the recess, we'll see," John Goodnow, CEO of Great Falls-based Benefis, said during the meeting.
