Warren, Mich.-based St. John Providence Health System will spend $30 million this year on capital improvements, according to a Detroit Free Press report.
The projects will include upgrades at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren and Providence Hospital in Southfield, Mich., to accommodate increased patient volume.
The system will spend $7.3 million at St. John Macomb-Oakland to add 46 rooms and renovate existing patient rooms and $5 million at Providence Hospital to expand the ER.
Other plans include an new outpatient facility in Harrison Township, Mich., and a new medical office building and rehabilitation center.
